Opportunities include: traditional direct client representation; assisted pro se clinics in specialty areas; general community brief advice clinics; volunteering in house at Legal Aid in a substantive practice group or managing a Volunteer Lawyers Program project including staffing a once a month community outreach- limited brief advice clinic at a community center in Lorain County or Ashtabula County. There are opportunities for volunteers to become involved in mentoring newer attorneys or giving community presentations. ACT 2 is a specific volunteer opportunity aimed at maximizing the experience of retired or late-career attorneys.
