The Ohio Poverty Law Center (OPLC) pursues statewide policy and systemic advocacy to protect and expand the economic and legal rights that low-income Ohioans need to live healthy, secure, successful lives. OPLC works collaboratively with our direct service legal aid colleagues and a statewide network of social services, policy research, and advocacy organizations to advance or protect the rights of Ohioans living in poverty. We have opportunities for volunteer pro bono attorneys interested in policy and legislative advocacy to provide pro bono assistance with legal research and analysis for position papers and to support the work of legal aid task forces. We would also appreciate pro bono assistance from attorneys who would like to work on nontraditional pro bono projects such as the development of compelling social media messaging on poverty law issues.
