Thousands of Ohio attorneys volunteer annually to provide legal information, advice or representation to in-need Ohioans. By donating time and talent to Ohio Legal Aid, pro bono attorneys enable Ohio Legal Aid to give a legal voice to individuals and families throughout the state.
Legal aid provides pro bono attorney volunteers with training, mentoring and malpractice insurance coverage on any case or matter referred by Ohio Legal Aid. Ohio Legal Aid also offers different ways in which an attorney may volunteer; a few examples are by accepting a court case representing a Legal Aid client; by providing brief advice and information for a few hours at a clinic hosted and supervised by Legal Aid; or by answering legal questions over the phone.
